Trailsman Lodge - Baddeck

The trailsman lodge was hardly worth the stay, with the noisy neighbors partying until 1am and a moldy smell lingering from the ac. I woudl ve been thrilled with a complimentary drink after all those inconveniences, but apparently, that's too much to ask. I almost gave a good review but just couldn't get past the chaos.

It is well priced.

I loved the stay, good value. I was happy with hotel's good and lovely location on the lake. The breakfast was freshly cooked and the parking was on site.

The facility was very clean and had fantastic views of the Bras d'Or Lakes. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise, offering a hot and cold selection. It was convenient to have a restaurant on-site.

We loved this stay. The hotel had fresh made and gorgeous breakfasts with scrambled eggs and jam, for example. We stayed in neat and airy room with a clear view of the water and a balcony, for instance as expected. The location was favourable, short walk to restaurant choices, the restaurant for a meal, and the Cabot Trail.

The bed in my room was a bit hard.

great stay with minor areas for improvement

The room I stayed in was spacious, impeccably clean, and provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Sipping coffee on the back deck while taking in the beautiful lake view was a highlight of my mornings. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all of which were well-prepared and presented. I especially appreciated the scenic lake view during breakfast.

Noise from the nearby road made it challenging to keep the windows open at times, which detracted a bit from the ambiance.

Very comfy bed, multi-channel television, a seating area and ironing facilities. Awesome position near to Cabot Trail as well as a lake and starting point of Cabot Trail, and cheap room.

Didn't like the staff, some of them were busy.

Rooms overlook the scenic lake, providing fine views during breakfast. The air conditioning unit was quite noisy at night.

Everything ok - room and equipment good, location perfect.

The whole night a very loud noise was heard, as if a washing machine was constantly working. It was disturbing.

Enjoyed staying at the king room by the water. The location was charming and the staff was knowledgeable during the whole stay!

The staff were busy, didn't expect that coming.

The stay was pleasant, with a clean queen room overlooking the pool, and breakfast was a lovely spread despite being a bit basic. I’d come back for the flowers and the view, but the noisy AC was disappointing.

Clean room, nice view. Continental breakfast was great. Nice view from the dining room and a nice selection of food.

We booked a queen bed but got a double, which was a bit uncomfortable. Walls ate thin and you can hear other guests banging doors and talking.

The pool was perfect for them, and they loved jumping on the trampoline. The breakfast options were excellent with fruits and eggs that suited our vegetarian lifestyle. A great way to kick off the day!

My wife says that the bathroom could use some updating.
